Kappas was the community that I was looking for coming into college and I’m so glad that I decided to take the step to rush. Being around with a group of girls who are so driven, caring, empathetic is so empowering and I’ll forever be grateful for the opportunities that Kappas have provided me.

I was drawn to Kappas as I wanted to surround myself around a driven and empowering community. I really resonated with the values of the sorority and have learned that Kappas constantly encourage me to push past my comfort zone while always being a pillar of support.

OUR PILLARS

SISTERHOOD

“Meeting girls that were not just incredibly kind but ambitious and strong-willed made it such an easy decision for me to want to be a part of Kappas. I came in listening to sisters chasing their dream jobs and finding their own paths and I stayed for the stupid inside jokes and obsession with popcorners and overpriced acai bowls. It’s the passion and diversity that really glues a sisterhood together - not just what you have in common, but also what you don’t.”

SERVICE

“I started volunteering back in high school because I wanted to give back to others, and community service was a way for me to make a difference with the opportunities and privileges I had. Coming to college, I found that Kappas was the perfect opportunity to continue that. Through Kappas, I’ve discovered various organizations and causes, helping me build my own awareness of the community we share. I’m excited for the variety of events we have planned for sisters to participate in and seeing all out different skills come together to contribute and give back to the community.”

CULTURAL DIVERSITY

“Before Kappas, I was able to confidently embrace my Korean culture but I wanted to expand my experiences and knowledge of other Asian cultures while still upholding mine. Though I'm just starting my Neo semester, I’ve already been introduced to so many different cuisines and traditions while sharing mine! It’s been so eye-opening and I wanted to be co-cultural chair to take the next step. My goal is to host events that will capture the various rich AAPI cultures in Kappas to spread awareness and educate the community.”
