♢ ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION ♢
Kappa Phi Lambda (ΚΦΛ) is an Asian-interest (but NOT Asian-exclusive) sorority grounded on three pillars: Sisterhood, Service, and Cultural Diversity. As sisters of Kappa Phi Lambda, we strive to mold strong leaders, create a positive impact in our communities, and achieve academic excellence, all while strengthening everlasting bonds within our sisterhood.
Established in 1995 at Binghamton University, Kappa Phi Lambda is one of the largest and fastest growing Asian-interest sororities in the country, with 22 active chapters and 6 active colonies nationwide. Our chapter, Xi Chapter, at Northeastern University, was founded in 2002 and is over 150 sisters strong, making us the first and largest Asian-interest sorority chapter on our campus!
♢ WHAT IS RUSH? ♢
Recruitment (or Rush) is a two week long period in the beginning of each semester, full of events for prospective members to not only learn more about our organization, but also get to know our sisters as individuals. We hope that these two weeks will make you want to explore your potential through Kappas!

♡ Tue. 9/11 • Speed Dating 7:30PM - 9PM | 224 Hurtig Our first event will be centered around getting to know the sisters a little better with some one on one conversation!
♡ Wed. 9/12 • GIM & Slime Making 7:30PM - 9PM | 224 Hurtig Ready to get your hands dirty? Make your own slime with the sisters of Kappa Phi Lambda while exploring our pillars of sisterhood, service, and cultural diversity.
♡ Thu. 9/13 • Jeopardy with Sigma Beta Rho 7:30PM-9PM | 224 Hurtig Grab your passports and get ready to travel around the world! Learn about different cultures’ traditions and foods through a game of jeopardy with us and the brothers of Sigma Beta Rho.
♡ Fri. 9/14 • Get your Game on with Pi Delta Psi 6:30PM - 8PM | 019 International Village Show us your game face!! Partake in some friendly competition with our sisters and the brothers of Pi Delta Psi.
♡ Sat. 9/15 • In it to Win it with Lambda Phi Epsilon 4:30-6PM | Fenway Bring your A-Game and together we can bring victory! It’s another day of fun and games with our sisters and the brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon.
♡ Sun. 9/16 • I Lava You 7:30PM-9PM | 201 Forsyth Looking to decorate your dorm room? Look no further! Create your own personal mini lava lamp and hang out with the sisters!
♡ Tues. 9/18 • Cardmaking for Cardzforkidz 7:30PM-9PM | 201 Forsyth Are you ready to discover your inner artist? Serve the community alongside sisters as we create handmade cards which will be sent to Cardzforkidz for hospitalized children.
♡ Wed. 9/19 • GIM & Spa Day 7:30PM-9PM | 105 Shillman Classes can be stressful but we have just what you need. Come to our last GiM to learn more about Kappa Phi Lambda and destress with DIY lip scrubs.
♡ Thurs. 9/20 • Sweet Dreams 7:30PM-9PM | 105 Shillman Warm cookies and sisterhood are what dreams are made of! Rush is over but not before one last rush event with the sisters of Kappa Phi Lambda and freshly baked cookies!!
♡ Fri & Sat. 9/21-22 • Interviews To qualify for an interview you must attend THREE events and a GIM!
